Design components for sucker rod pumps, gas lift systems, and other downhole tools and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare production/manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor 2D and 3D and Creo Parametric.
Develop calculations as required for verifying equipment and components.
Optimize and test designs using Finite Element Analysis.
Prepare and document engineering change notices for continuous improvement.
Review drawings and schematics for accuracy.
Perform failure analysis, including sample preparation, metallography and develop/prepare report.
Prepare, present and publish technical documents and reports for industry events.
Develop test procedures.
Must understand and comply with all safety, environmental, and company policies
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar from an accredited university.
Excellent communication skills for effective dialogue with colleagues and customers.
Ability to organize and document in English for reporting and technical papers.
Proficiency in computer programs including Autodesk Inventor 2D & 3D, Autodesk Algor, Fluent, ANSYS, CFD applications and Creo Parametric.
Ability to learn in-house software specific to Don-Nan.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
Knowledge of 6 Sigma, ISO9001 and API Specification Q1.
3 or more years in a similar role within upstream oil and gas.
